麻豆社区 proudly celebrated the graduation of 124 master鈥檚 and doctoral degree recipients from the College of Health Sciences on August 28, 2025, on its Downers Grove Campus. The ceremony marked the beginning of professional healthcare careers for graduates entering two of the nation鈥檚 most in-demand fields: Physician Assistant Studies and Clinical Psychology.

The ceremony also featured a special tribute to Captain Tana Nixon, U.S. Army, a graduate of the Doctor of Clinical Psychology program. 麻豆社区 honors graduates who are currently serving or entering military service for their dedication to both their country and the healthcare profession.

During the ceremony, graduates received inspirational messages from their Dean, University leaders, and Ellyssa Dougan, Class President, and Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) Program graduate.

鈥淲hen I think about Midwestern, I think about community, not just classmates, but professors, staff, and loved ones who supported us every step of the way,鈥 said Dr. Dougan. 鈥淓ven during the toughest moments, such as having to wear masks during our first year, 7 a.m. exams, and first clinical rotations, we still found time to laugh, to cry, and to celebrate.鈥

Fred Romano, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Downers Grove, also shared closing reflections with the graduates.
